Next up was keyless ignition. By pressing a button or turning a knob, you could start the engine. That meant no more having to fiddle around with a bunch of keys on a key ring when you wanted to get going. It especially paid off on hot or cold days since you could get the AC or heater going faster.
It was a logical step, then, to combine remote and keyless convenience with starting a car. Some new cars have this, but if you have a new or older car that doesn’t, that’s okay.
